Carrie & Richard • Engagement Session

Carrie & Richard • Engagement Session

Friday, August 3, 2012
photographed near Mtn. Grove, MO on Neuroth Farm
to be married in November 2012

I couldn't get enough of how they looked at each other. Completely smitten!
Love when a couple brings a prop that means something to them. In this case, "love you more" sign!
I don't think they can decide who loves who more!!
So she's a little short and I took advantage of the cuteness of her kissing him on her tip toes.
The best photo prop....thank you mother nature! I kept my eye on the sky all day and kept my fingers (& toes) crossed just hoping for something beautiful and we got it. I am sure Carrie & Richard thought I was crazy because of all the pictures I captured with this wonderful back drop but I couldn't resist it.

See....look at this next one....
The Pièce de résistance is how I refer to that photo.
oh sky....you and me are truly a match made in heaven. And yes, HANK too! Couldn't do it without him.

Want some funnies? Check them out.

Can Carrie really make a mean face? Yup, she sure did!!
Killing time on hay bale till the sun dropped a little more.
Richard kept giving her bunny ears, so why not act a little goofy too!

Was a warm August night - complete with cops, laying in the crunchy grass, plenty of laughs, kisses between the happy couple, finding the perfect hay bale and waiting for the sun to drop....
I couldn't have asked for a more perfect night!

Carrie and Richard, you two are so loving and I am so happy for you guys.
Looking forward to capturing other moments throughout your wonderful life.

Want one more pic?
sigh.......I just want to share them all but you can have one more.

Thank you for letting Hank & I photograph!

It's been almost a year!

So, there's no way I can update you on the past year....
Good thing, most of you follow me on facebook and are well informed on what goes on.
But I won't share all that personal mumbo-jumbo here.
This is straight photography • design blog heaven here.
So how about just a refresher on some of my most current shoots.......

The Caudill Family - June 2012 - Sequiota Park, Springfield, MO

These three kiddos were so active and couldn't have been more fun to photograph.

Hannah is a doll and a beauty. She knew exactly where she did and didn't want to be photographed. Her precious smile stole my heart, I snapped so many pictures of her (It was kinda crazy!)

Bryan....He was ready and willing but I had to keep moving in order to keep up with him. He is so active and I loved capturing him at his finest. As I would put the camera up to snap the picture he would turn his head sideways. He had me laughing so much! This picture of him in particular, he was resting and just had this sweet smile I had to have!

Last but certainly not least.....Mr. Logan! This boy wouldn't smile for me all day. The photo featured is the most I got out of him and I just love the little snicker. He wasn't too sure about me but I was sure I was going to love capturing his cute little self and I sure did.

I had a great time photographing this beautiful family. Look forward to being able to capture them growing up!

Matlock Girls - June 2012 - Mountain Grove, MO

These three ladies were probably the easiest kiddos to photograph!
What I loved about this shoot was it was all at one location but looks like we were all over.
In the picture above, Mylie was breaking a stick and boy was it funny! I climbed in a ditch here to capture them and I could have stayed in that ditch to photograph them all day.
Precious • Sweet • Gorgeous.....lucky parents there!

Now Mylie...she gave some of the best facial expressions ever. And those eyes....!!!! She loved playing peek-a-boo around the fence. As long as she was near her sisters, she was ready for pictures. I loved chasing her around and capturing her sweet little nature!

Carlie wasn't too sure of me at first I don't think. Once she saw her sisters warming up to me, she did too!! She has one of the sweetest grins I have ever had the pleasure of capturing. She was soon informing of where and how she wanted to stand. To watch her interact with Mylie was precious! Those two will be best friends for a long time, I just know it.

One of the best big sisters I have ever seen....Nevaeh really takes care of her little sisters and you can tell. She was precious with both of them, even though they squished her while playing in the suitcase. I could have photographed this beauty all day. I really hope I get the chance to capture her  again. Her mom & daddy better watch out....she's one gorgeous gal. She loved posing for me too. She was a natural!

These girls are something else. And the photo shoot was one of the most fun shoots ever!

Boot, Scoot, BANG • June 2012 • Texas County Fairgrounds

I had the opportunity to photograph this event thanks to Alexis Neuroth at 99.3 The Rooster in Houston, MO. This concert was super successful and I hope I have the opportunity to do it again. One For The Road opened for Joe Diffie and I photographed both concerts as well as backstage action, meet & greet with Joe Diffie, the carnival and more. I was literally running all over the place during the concerts, broke my flip flops even....which led me to putting a spare in my car for future events!

There's something so great about capturing people on stage doing what they love. You can really see that with the guys from One For The Road. There wasn't a dull moment on stage. These guys are truly passionate for playing music and it was an honor to photograph them. They are a great group of guys and they have a great group of fans who are ever faithful and I think that group will just continue to grow. Congrats guys!

Joe Diffie really brought the old school country back. It was great to hear some of the classics and capture him and his band on stage as well. He was a hoot back stage and his intro music definitely made me shake my thang!! I have respect for musicians.....just like every other artist, it's not always easy, but you keep doing it.

I am grateful for the opportunity and can't wait to do it again.

Jason Plummer • Kickin' Country • June 2012 • Mountain Grove, MO

While at Boot, Scoot, BANG, I got approached my Jason Plummer (featured above), who was performing the following weekend in Mountain Grove. He opened for Easton Corbin and I do say he put on a great show. I went to high school with Jason and it's great to see him pursuing his dreams to the fullest. He is going big places and I was grateful to have had the opportunity to capture a big night for him.

I had full access to roam around and capture from every angle I could and I sure did. It was a steamy 100 degrees and I must have lost a couple pounds by the end of his performance. It was a warm one but was worth it. I enjoyed listening to his performance while capturing his pure love for music on stage. Jason is a great artist and so talented. Looking forward to watching him climb the charts.

..............

Oh.....I think I did it. :) I gave you a little update and now I am done.
But I will keep this up to date on photo sessions and my current design work on the menu.
If you are reading this.....thanks! :) Feel free to share or check back in.

This is a crazy life I lead and I am grateful for every opportunity that has been thrown my
way to pursue my passion and love for art.
